Karen Roberts

Karen is a chartered physiotherapist who has passionately worked with the unique "BeActivated Technique" (taught in this course) since 2016 when she first trained with the "BeActivated" founder Douglas Heel. The BeActivated approach to mind and body wellness blew her mind, and she quickly implemented it into her everyday practice with her patients. Her patients were astounded with the immediate positive effects they felt. Karen has two extremely busy physiotherapy practices in large corporate settings in Dublin where she performs activation treatments on patients, and then teaches them self activation drills to help the employees to be able to meet the demands placed on them in these high pressured and stressful jobs. Her patients have had outstanding results from her using the BeActivation techniques on them over the years. Due to the recent covid pandemic she was inspired to develop this online training. The aim of this course is to teach people who work in high stress office jobs how to build resilience back in their own systems so they don't suffer with the usual office related aches and pains that develop from patterns of collapse associated with sedentary jobs. She is super excited to present this training to you and hopes you enjoy the journey!

Brenda O'Sullivan

Brenda is a sports rehabilitator and athletic therapist. Over the past six years she has been working in private practice, the corporate sector and with various sports teams. Brenda trained in the 'BeActivated' method in 2018 under Douglas Heel, the founder of 'BeActivated'. Since then she has been integrating this technique into her treatment style. Her clients have been extremely interested in the mind and body connection that the BeActivated technique embodies, and how the mind and body work in unity with one another. Clients from across each sector Brenda works in, have loved the immediate positive effects they feel from the BeActivated method, especially the sports teams. Since the teams started using the activation drill before training sessions and matches the coaches have noticed an increase in performance and power in their players whilst having a reduction in their injury rates. Brenda has helped so many of her patients with the 'BeActivated' method that when she was given the opportunity to come on board with this 'Activate Your Wellness' course, she jumped at the chance. She cannot wait to share this powerful method with more people, so that they too can feel the benefits and begin to build a stronger, more resilient mind and body.

Self managing the signs of stress

Nothing short of a miracle

“I am an avid gym goer and I recently injured my lower back quite badly during a gym session. I would get lower back pain from time to time but nothing as serious as this time around, and it usually settled with rest. But I decided I needed to find out what was going on and I contacted Robertsphysio for treatment. Karen did a full assessment to see how my body was working. I was astounded to feel how my arms were helping my hip function, my arm muscles and leg muscles were having to work overtime all because the muscles around the hip had gotten lazy. Karen explained how my body was driving in on itself which was causing the compression in my lower back. “Not being much of a runner but needing to get back to exercising I decided to get back to playing casual football. I hadn’t played for a few years, and when I went back my problems started immediately. For the first four months I hardly ever made consecutive weekly training.
